ARTISTS & SCIENTISTS / NEVER FORGETTING TRUE LOVE AND TAI -CHI
January 2016 to December 2018
It was a wild idea in the planning of the two year exhibition for 2016 to 2018. Yet the artist had been preparing for the incorporation of working with other artists in a major exhibition for years. Never dreaming that it would be in Manhattan that made it very successful. In the local city she lived in, in Tennessee, she was an organizer for two festivals annually, and on the board of directors of three organizations between 2000- 2008. MANHATTAN New York City, New York, was a different place to navigate in, yet worth it. During 2011 getting a feel for Manhattan was very important to artist TRACEE PICKETT. Staying in the city in an inexpensive upper MANHATTAN apartment was a interesting new home for the artist, whom left New York City in January 2012, to open a design office in SEATTLE WASHINGTON. Dreaming of developing an equity of designs from her artist portfolio since leaving the art university conservatory studies in 1997, with catastrophic nerve damage to her hands from a birth defect and over use that temporarily left TRACEE with no ability to use a spoon or anything else and in a minor state of catatonic shock. Precautions of well rested hands, helped TRACEE get back to lite use with some painting tools and drawing tools. In 2014, TRACEE returned to Manhattan to begin to plan a large scale two year exhibition in the arts that began in 2016.
Instead of making a phone call to order a VENTI MOCHA La Triviata , artists like TRACEE PICKETT,
create and organize to exhibit. Much like ideas of the work that went into the PAPER GIRL exhibition that was TRACEE'S FIRST ACTUAL SAN FRANSISCO exhibition. .
